Welcome to 100 Women Who Care about Napa County!

This organization began in 2014 by a group of women in the Napa Valley who wanted to provide a way for women to gather and make a difference for local nonprofit organizations. For 7 years, the staff at NEWS handled all the administrative details and put on each of the events. Unfortunately, in 2020, the pandemic put an end to our gatherings. In addition, the staff at NEWS decided they simply did not have the time and resources to continue their role as administrator.

In appreciation to NEWS for their many years of service to this organization, We have decide to award them the first grant at the January 18th meeting. Going forward, we will follow the concept of having 3 non profit organizations present and be voted on by the members.

I would personally like to thank the staff at NEWS for everything they did to support 100 Women for many years as during this time they were able to contribute $585,000 to our community!

Our First meeting was on April 3, 2014
Silo's and Napa River Inn
An amazing 180 women attended the first 100 Women Who Care About Napa County meeting at Silo's and Napa River Inn Hatt Hall. The energy and atmosphere was truly inspirational. We heard about three programs of NEWS-Domestic Violence & Sexual Abuse Services (the non-profit that administrates 100WWC Napa County and is the beneficiary once per year). The women voted to help NEWS hire an on-call Domestic Violence Response Team Advocate, which will help relieve the NEWS staffers from being on call weekends after they have worked a full week. $18,000 was collected, which will make a huge impact in helping the organization. It was an amazing experience and everyone is excited for the next meeting when one of three lucky non-profits will be chosen. 3 more non-profits benefited that first year from 100WWC-Napa County - Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Northbay, If Given a Chance Foundation and Family Service Napa Valley.... totaling more that $80,000 in donations to our community in one year!

"I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver."
